Gérard Grandval

Gérard Grandval (1930–2020) was a French architect known for sculptural, organic forms in social housing. The catalogue holds 1 of his works: the Choux de Créteil (Cabbages of Créteil), a cluster of cylindrical residential towers whose petal-shaped balconies give each building the appearance of a giant cabbage — an exuberant example of organic architecture applied to mass housing.
