Otto Haesler

Otto Haesler (1880–1962) was a German architect and a pioneer of Neues Bauen social housing. His Georgsgarten and Italienischer Garten estates in Celle (1920s) were among the earliest Modernist housing developments in Germany — flat-roofed, colour-accented apartment buildings that applied Bauhaus principles to worker housing before the Bauhaus itself had turned to architecture.
