Wells Coates

Wells Coates (1895–1958) was a Canadian-born British architect and one of the founders of the MARS Group, which promoted Modernism in Britain. The catalogue holds 1 of his works: the Isokon Flats (Lawn Road Flats) in Hampstead, London, a pioneering Modernist housing block completed in 1934 that provided minimal-living apartments for progressive intellectuals — residents included Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer, and László Moholy-Nagy.
