Werner March

Werner March (1894–1976) was a German architect best known for the Olympiastadion (1936) in Berlin — the arena built for the 1936 Olympic Games. The stadium's stripped-Neoclassical design, commissioned by the Nazi regime, reflects the political instrumentalisation of architecture. March also designed the adjacent Maifeld and the Waldbühne amphitheatre as part of the Reichssportfeld complex.
