Adolf Meyer

Adolf Meyer (1881–1929) was a German architect who collaborated with Walter Gropius on the Fagus Factory (1913) in Alfeld — a pioneering work of modern architecture. The factory's glass curtain wall, which wraps around corners without structural support, anticipated the transparent facades that would become a hallmark of International Style architecture. Meyer was Gropius's chief design partner in their early practice.
