Bruno Taut

Bruno Taut (1880–1938) was a German architect and urban planner known for his visionary Expressionist writings and his practical Modernist housing estates. The catalogue holds 1 of his works: the Horseshoe Settlement (Hufeisensiedlung) in Berlin, designed with Martin Wagner — a Neues Bauen social housing development whose bold colour schemes and horseshoe-shaped plan represent the idealism of Weimar-era architecture. The estate is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
