Ernst Sagebiel

Ernst Sagebiel (1892–1970) was a German architect who worked under Erich Mendelsohn before becoming one of the Third Reich's principal architects. The catalogue features the Detlev-Rohwedder-Haus in Berlin — originally the Reich Aviation Ministry (1936), it is the largest surviving example of Nazi neoclassicism. The building's stripped-classical facade and monumental scale were designed to project state authority. After reunification, it became the Federal Ministry of Finance.
