Heinz Aust

Heinz Aust was an East German architect who co-designed Kino International (1963) on Karl-Marx-Allee in Berlin with Josef Kaiser. The Modernist cinema, with its glazed facade and cantilevered upper volume, became one of the most prestigious cultural venues in East Berlin and remains an active cinema and event space.
