Januário Godinho

Januário Godinho (1910–1990) was a Portuguese architect who, together with João Andresen, designed the Palace of Justice of Lisbon — a Brutalist civic building whose monumental concrete forms express the weight and authority of the judicial institution. Godinho was a key figure in Portuguese architecture's transition from academic classicism to modernism.
