Ludwig Leo

Ludwig Leo (1924–2012) was a German architect who produced some of West Berlin's most eccentric buildings. The catalogue features the Umlauftank 2 (1974) — a hydrodynamics research facility whose bright pink industrial pipeline and angular Expressionist-Postmodernist forms make it one of Berlin's most unusual structures. Leo's work defies stylistic classification, combining engineering pragmatism with a playful disregard for architectural convention.
