Norman Foster

Norman Foster (born 1935) is a British architect who received the Pritzker Prize in 1999. The catalogue features the Free University's Philology Library (2005) in Berlin — nicknamed "The Brain" for its organic, bubble-shaped form enclosed in a translucent membrane. Foster + Partners is one of the world's largest architecture practices, responsible for buildings including the Reichstag dome in Berlin, 30 St Mary Axe (the Gherkin) in London, and the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank headquarters.
