Peter Eisenman

Peter Eisenman (born 1932) is an American architect and theorist whose work investigates the internal logic of architectural form — buildings generated by geometric operations rather than function or context. His Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe (2005) in Berlin — a field of 2,711 concrete stelae — is one of the most powerful works of memorial architecture. Eisenman's houses, numbered I through VI, are foundational works of architectural Deconstructivism.
