Pierre Parat

Pierre Parat (1928–2019) was a French architect who, in partnership with Michel Andrault, created bold Brutalist structures across France and beyond. The catalogue holds 2 of their works in Paris and Syracuse.

Tour Totem in Paris is a Brutalist residential tower. The Basilica Santuario Madonna delle Lacrime (1994) in Syracuse, Sicily, is a monumental pilgrimage church with a soaring conical form — one of the most ambitious sacred buildings of the late 20th century. The Andrault-Parat partnership produced architecture of civic scale and structural ambition.
